The Cannes Yachting Festival returns to the Côte d’Azur from 8–13 September 2026, opening the European autumn show season across the Vieux Port and Port Canto. As the largest in-water boat show in Europe, Cannes is where hundreds of new launches meet an international audience of owners, brokers and shipyards for the first time each year.
Why Cannes matters for design
Cannes is a debut stage. Because so many world premieres happen here, it is one of the clearest windows onto where yacht design is heading: bolder exterior lines, more glass, more connection between deck and sea, and interiors conceived as living spaces rather than fitted cabins. On a dock this competitive, the vessels that stop people in their tracks are almost always the ones with the strongest silhouette. Design, not spec, is what earns the second look.
